With funding and additional coffee processing knowledge provided by Crop to Cup, the members of Mong Coffee experimented with a prolonged 15-20 day shade-drying phase. Hundreds of disconnected languages are spoken across the Highlands, and historically there was not a lot of cooperation between villages, which are generally comprised of just one or a few families\/clans. But when you do see coops, they are impressive.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\"The examples of farmer organization we’ve seen in PNG often exceed that of many other established producer countries. Traceability has improved as well, and we can now access lots as small as 10-20 bags produced by only one or two families.
